Guy says he needs time, how long should I wait for this guy ?

I've been seeing this guy for a month. We both work full-time but have managed to get together once a week and hangout. He's a Capi and its taking him some time to open up. First he quiet on dates and then he becomes talkative. It's not easy to figure to him out but he is a nice guy. A weekend or so ago we were supposed to get together but he had to tend to something important and I was with my friends so I didn't mind. since i can't talk during work hours, i chat through email.. we spoke briefly after the weekend then he kind of went mia on me.. i log onto my facebook and he messages me.. apologizes for being mia but "something kind of bad" happened and he's quite upset and needs some time. I asked if he wanted to talk about but he said he needs time to let it sink in and he'd rather not. He thanked me after, I told him if he needed to talk.. I'm here and that was it ! I haven't heard from him since. Is it just me or this guy a crock of ****. If you're so upset about something why are posting **** on your facebook and going on email chat when you should be doing other things or getting over whatever "bad" thing happened... There is another guy who is interested but i'm not one to fondle multiple boys.. Wat do you think ? is he lying ? HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE it's like w.e forget him ?
