Labor & Delivery: Failure To Progress, What Is The Truth Behind It?

Mostly it comes down to the fact that if the mother has been laboring for a long time and hasn't progressed "accordingly", they'll perform a c-section because they don't want to wait for something to go wrong and need an Emergency c-section at 3AM. A lot of times they do it for their own convenience which is sickening. You can refuse a c-section, as long as the baby's heart rate is not going down with contractions and you still feel comfortable enough to continue on with labor then you can refuse unless it's absolutely necessary.
